Keyboarding

Learning to type efficiently has become one of the key skills needed to achieve Common Core standards.
Research has consistently shown that learning to type properly is a foundational skill that is vital for success.
Keyboarding regularly has also shown to improve skills in reading and writing.

On this page, we have provided a list of online programs that students can use for free.  Some of these provide instruction, while others are games which give students a fun way to practice.  We encourage using the instructional sites that track progress before using games.  It's important to note that building speed depends on proper technique.  Students should work for accuracy first.
